Broadcloths are the ideal weight to wear year-round and have relatively little texture for a clean, unstitched appearance and clear pattern matching.
Because they are so light in weight, they will tend to wrinkle much more than twills or pinpoints. That being said, broadcloths press beautifully and may even be worn right out of the package washed and wrinkled as more of an offhand shirt.
