After having covered the basics of almond Butter on a Keto diet, let's get into the details of making almond Butter.

Almond butter is made with either raw or roasted almonds. A lot of people prefer the richness of roasted almonds. For the recipe, you can purchase roasted almonds or roast your own.

Spread the almonds out on a baking pan in an even layer. To achieve an even roasting, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep mixing the nuts every few minutes.

Let almonds cool down before transferring to a food processing machine. Use the food processor to make the butter until it forms the desired consistency. Before smoothing out the butter, the mixture will transform from a floury consistency to a doughy texture. This process can take between 4 and 5 minutes to make almond butter.

Once the almonds have formed butter, taste the mixture. Season the mixture with salt if needed. Mix in chopped almonds, or pulse whole almonds into the almond butter mixture in a food processor if you prefer chunky almond butter.

The heat of the food process will make the keto nut butter warm, which can cause it to become liquidier than you prefer. Place the keto almond nut butter in a glass jar. The butter will develop a firm, spreadable texture if stored in the refrigerator.

Almond butter made at home is best kept in wide-mouth glass jars. Mason jars that have a wide mouth are perfect because they come with an airtight cover.
