In fact it’s important that the government knows that for every complaint they receive about food trucks (likely from brick and mortar businesses), there are scores of consumers who love and support those same trucks. Doing this will help ensure that the city thinks twice about passing new laws to further restrict street vending, and will hopefully help to encourage them to be a little more lax about enforcing the laws that currently exist.
The New York City Food Truck Association has created a petition that does just that. Show your support and sign it today! less

To address some of the impacts this new food delivery concept is having on the Los Angeles area, to ensure that our continued growth is a positive addition to the local economy, and to provide a source of information to the on-going discussions, we have banded together to create the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association. By forming this organization we can speak with one voice to address and hopefully allay the concerns of the various elements in the community. By creating a single representative entity, we hope to make it possible to work with local governments, merchants associations and others to ensure our presence is positive experience for all concerned. less

Meet other single foodies (most in their 30's and 40's) at restaurants in all price ranges that are rated the "Best In LA." We notice outstanding food reviews from LA Magazine, LA Weekly, LA Times and Zagat and make reservations at those restaurants for our Meetup group. We also enjoy temples appearing in Bon Appetit, Food & Wine and Gourmet, as well as gourmet food trucks and brand new restaurants that are wonderful enough to be swooned over in the food press and blogosphere. less
